"We’ve been coming to Bao Down since it first opened in a small glass-fronted dining room on a residential street in Gardens. These days, it’s twice as big, and the lofty space with a giant balcony in Greenpoint is a great pick for a group dinner. The menu hasn’t changed much since it opened in 2018, which, here, is a good thing—we’d never get sick of their pillowy steamed buns stuffed with spicy Korean fried chicken, or their lemon and miso tart with a cornflake crumb and a dollop of double thick cream." - Mary Holland
