"For Londoners versed in the ways of honey toast, Arôme was likely their gateway slab. The cult Covent Garden bakery (there’s also one on Duke Street) does serious business serving thick slices of their in-house-baked shokupan. This is a pleasing all-rounder—chewy, not-too-sweet, and so stacked it demands an impromptu photo shoot. We did find it a bit dry, though." - sinead cranna
