"When tourists and Berliners want a traditional German meal with a side of the slightly ridiculous, they head to Alt Berliner Wirsthaus Henne. The 100-year-old Kreuzberg pub serves half a broiler chicken without a knife, which is made even more entertaining after a couple of steins of the local craft beers. The theatre of the high-ceilinged room—heavy with wood, leather and antlers, and filled with people frantically attacking crispy-skinned chicken with a fork—makes the Henne experience hard to forget. Order both the sauerkraut and potato salad, and stage them on the tartan tablecloth alongside your humble plate of rye bread and bird to complete the unequivocally German scene." - Olivia Ladanyi
