"Show up early to Master Donuts on East Riverside. Otherwise, you’ll probably be met with a sad shrug and a mostly empty donut display. This place is popular, and pre-ordering is probably your best bet. It’s one of the few spots in town to get things like cronuts and letter donuts that can spell out expressions like “happy birthday” or “let’s get tacos later” in pastry form. These donuts are worth checking out more for the novelty than for the quality—they’re not quite as fluffy as others in town—but Master is also a good opportunity to see what cronuts are all about." - Nicolai McCrary
