"Walk a few minutes north of Bar Charlie and you’ll hit Russell’s, another standout neighborhood bar with nice wooden booths, a bright red retro refrigerator behind the bar, and a delicious hot pretzel served with Beecher’s beer cheese. They’ve got solid beers on tap and some interesting cocktails, too. Hole up here for a couple of hours with some friends and battle the cold by researching flights to Hawaii." - aimee rizzo
