"The Bull knows it’s cool. Dish descriptions are like the monosyllabic grunts of a teenager (“pork chop, apple”), mud-free Land Rover Defenders are parked out front, and the lighting is so seductively low it'll make you want to bulk-order candles for home. Like its sister spots in London, The Hero and The Pelican, this Charlbury pub is the stuff of glossy food magazines rather than messy piss-ups. Think bar snacks of courgette fritters rather than bashed about Frazzles.
