Daigo Park Slope Review - Park Slope - New York - The Infatuation
"Daigo’s original location is inside of Dekalb Market Hall, but their Carroll Street outpost in Park Slope is secretly the best one. It helps that this sushi restaurant is not in a subterranean food hall (hello, windows), but we also like the particularly quiet street. The sushi rolls at Daigo are shorter and wider than you’ll find at your typical Japanese spot, which means slightly more rice, but more importantly, more filling. There’s no way to order wrong, but pay special attention to the scallop roll with yuzu kosho, the salmon with ikura, and the smoked trout roll—the fish for that one comes from the Hudson Valley. Everything is available as a handroll or a cut roll, and though a lot of people do takeout, it’s a pretty peaceful place to eat some fresh-tasting fish with someone you really like." - Willa Moore
