Gracey's Pizza - Review - St Albans - London - The Infatuation

"At Gracey’s Pizza, the New Haven pie glistens and wows like a mesmerising, parmesan-topped UFO. This kind of pizza isn’t often seen in London, and that’s why you’ll find it in St Albans. The neighbourhood pizzeria is, like its friend Vincenzo’s down the road (or rather, motorway), a love letter to American pizzerias found in a discreet suburban spot. There are a handful of tables indoors, and photos and memorabilia from New York and New Jersey trips line the wall. It’s got a friendly feel to it and on a nice day, the outdoor seating makes a trip here feel very worthwhile. So too does the pizza. These are some serious pies and there's a graveyard of giant, gold, Rega San Marzano tomato tins outside to show for it. The bases are crisp, almost to the point of cracker, and the sauce is a straight 10. The classic pizzas are excellent, but it’s that New Haven pie that really stands out.
