"North Shore Poké Co. recently its East Coast debut in Murray Hill. The poke spot first opened in Huntington Beach, Calif. in 2012 and has since opened additional California locations in Cerritos, Costa Mesa, and Pleasanton. Now, co-founder Sal Garcia has brought the concept to New York. The menu features customizable bowls as well as set signature bowls, like the “Waimea bowl,” made with salmon, sesame seeds, green onion, sweet onions, masago, and macadamia nuts. The New York location is also debuting a “pineapple pele soft serve,” a vegan dessert made with activated charcoal and Dole whip." - Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya
