"The fast-food chicken-tender chain that acquired the iconic Norm’s restaurant on La Cienega Boulevard announced it would no longer pursue an expansion into the historic property after pushback from locals, reports KTLA. A few weeks earlier the Los Angeles Times reported the chain would take over the 1957-built Googie building immortalized by artist Ed Ruscha after Norms’ current lease expired in 2027. The chain said it would work with Norm’s to determine the future of the site." - Matthew Kang
