"The longtime restaurant space that serviced the Coronado Golf Club has been thoroughly transformed into an all-day eatery designed to appeal to the entire Coronado community and run by Rise and Shine Restaurant Group founder Johan Engman, who partnered with Tom Penn of Real Restaurant Solutions and John Rudolph of Harry’s Coffee Shop on the revamp. A six-month overhaul added floor-to-ceiling windows in the dining room with views of the surrounding golf course and the Coronado Bridge, a new outdoor patio, two distinct bar areas (including one located just off the green), and an oceanfront lawn, making the space suitable for everyday dining as well as special events and weddings. The restaurant offers daily brunch from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., serving popular Breakfast Republic dishes like shrimp and grits and blue crab and crawfish eggs Benedict; dinner ranges from Spanish octopus with achiote adobo, spicy tomato sauce, shishito pepper, and fava beans to a braised pork shank with smoked peach sauce, parmesan risotto, and crispy Brussels sprouts, and a bone-in short rib with pinot noir reduction, potatoes au gratin, and roasted vegetables." - Candice Woo
