"I learned that a renovated mixed-use complex at 2470 Mandeville Lane, christened the Foundry at Carlyle, will include a 250-seat indoor-outdoor food hall wedged at the base of a 520-unit residential tower; the hall will house 12 vendors across 12,000 square feet alongside a co-working space. The larger conversion aims to be a millennial magnet with a heated rooftop pool, a three-story gym, and a two-story sports bar with arcade games. A central cocktail bar manned by Alexandria Restaurant Partners will sit amid original concepts and internationally-infused cuisine from local restaurateurs and national brands, and the food hall—complete with corn hole and ping pong—will offer all-day service, weekend brunch featuring Belgian waffle and egg stations, and a late-night menu." - Tierney Plumb
