Shake Shack’s to Open New Wine Country Restaurant in Santa Rosa | Eater SF

"I'm excited that Shake Shack will open its first wine-country outpost this month in the Montgomery Village outdoor shopping center in Santa Rosa on Thursday, February 29; the restaurant will host several opening events over the weekend, including a mural debut from local artist David Winters and a food drive for the Redwood Empire Food Bank, and the menu will include the Bay’s regional sandwich, the Golden State Double, made with two grass-fed beef patties, cheddar, and smoked garlic aioli. The chain first came to the Bay Area in 2018 (Palo Alto), expanded to Cow Hollow in San Francisco in January 2020 and had seven Bay Area outposts by spring 2022, and the company plans to open 80 restaurants nationwide in 2024; the North Bay opening follows a 2023 lawsuit in which the company paid an Oakland worker $20,000 after repeated harassment and management's failure to address it." - Paolo Bicchieri
