Michael and Lindsay Tusk Just Opened a Gorgeous New Private Event Space Above Vesuvio Cafe | Eater SF

"Located at 253 Columbus Avenue just above the historic Vesuvio Cafe, I learned that the newly opened Officina — backed by Michael and Lindsay Tusk — was renovated over three months to feel like a private apartment centered on an open kitchen; by day it will function as Michael Tusk’s test kitchen and by night flip into a private event space. The venue books groups up to 35 for standing receptions and up to 20 for seated dinners held around a 16-foot oak table handmade by local furniture designer Josh Podoll. Members of the Tusks’ Quince & Co. program will have regular gatherings there, the couple hopes to stage ticketed, music-inspired public events, and Julie and Matthias Cattelin will oversee operations (Julie running service and Matthias the wine program)." - Lauren Saria
