"This is the permanent space for the Bend food truck that brings chef-driven recipes to camp food. Luckey’s is unique in that many items are created to be taken along on a hike or even to be heated over a campfire. They take care to assemble burgers and wraps to minimize becoming soggy throughout the day. Items with brisket and forbidden rice like the lumber jack or the Sasquash with whisky barbecue pulled chicken or tempeh make great hot kits. The absolute star here is the Backpacker’s Delight burger with huckleberry and elderberry compote foraged from the trails nearby, with gorgonzola, bacon, and pesto aioli. For those who are hanging out at the restaurant, try the mountain nachos with pork carnitas, creamy camper queso, pico de Gallo, arugula pesto, and Sweet Woodsman beans." - Barb Gonzalez
