"A 36-year-old Indian restaurant in Irvine will close its storefront on Thanksgiving and shift operations to a commercial kitchen in Costa Mesa beginning December 1, moving to a takeout-and-delivery model. Widely credited with introducing modern Indian cuisine to Orange County, the longtime establishment is making the change because the owners' lease expires at the end of November and a renewal would have included a rent increase. Co-owner and chef Geeta Bansal and her husband Praveen say the move is temporary and that they are looking for another permanent location." - Mona Holmes
