"Ember’s Deli in Bloomfield has a unique history. It was established in 1969 by a Jewish family, but eventually changed hands to an Albanian one. The deli continues to serve the needs of Bloomfield’s large Jewish population with fat stacks of corned beef and pastrami for sandwiches, lox, tuna salad, and other diner specialties. Most notably, you can order any of the sandwiches on lavash bread; Vasko Perkovic, the owner, says that many of his Lebanese and Chaldean clientele appreciate this flaky pita bread option.
