The Sauer Kraut Grill Opens in Richmond With Classic German Dishes - Eater Houston
"The Sauer Kraut Grill, a former food truck known for its decadent German dishes, has officially debuted a permanent location in Richmond. The former roving eatery has set down roots at 734 Crabb River Road in Richmond, bringing a new destination for schnitzel and currywurst to the neighborhood. After a “soft opening” earlier this month to work out the kinks, the Sauer Kraut Grill is now open for lunch and dinner service, though it’s still hiring staff to get the restaurant up and running at full speed. In addition to German classics like schnitzel, spaetzle, and bratwursts, diners will also find Texas-style burgers and “schruben” sandwiches on the menu at the Sauer Kraut Grill. On the side, options like spicy fries slathered in mayo and curry sauce are on offer, along with salty fried pretzels. Closed on Sunday and Monday, the Sauer Kraut Grill is now open for lunch service from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner service from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
