"“El Disparate” means “nonsense” in Spanish, and while there may be some whimsy to the menu, this corner restaurant in the Alameda is all about casual elegance. Traditional Spanish flavors get a makeover with unexpected and complex spices, including the oyster trio of jalapeño, manzanilla sherry, and coconut marinades. Be forewarned: you’ll be doing some serious negotiating with your dining partner over this dish. The steak tartar and foie are French-inspired, but you’ll also find Mexican and Asian influences. El Disparate has made the bold move to close on the weekends to keep the staff happy and well rested. It’s working. The servers are some of the friendliest in Seville." - Aileen Weintraub
