"If you’re prioritizing one special dinner on the Cape, look no further than Lune in Dennis Port. Most days, they do an over-$100 tasting menu of New American dishes like duck frites, tuna crudo, and incredible sourdough bread with whipped butter. It’s tough to score a reservation since the place is so small, but they take walk-ins on Wednesdays and Sundays for a la carte service, and we’ve had luck walking in right when they open. You’ll probably be seated at the bar, where you can watch the chefs cut gigantic logs of butter into cubes to baste over duck. We also really appreciate the artwork around the space: there’s a black-and-white portrait of Paul Giamatti (or someone who looks very much like him) shoveling a big forkful of pasta into his mouth. Lune is a nice break from nice but mildly stuffy upscale seafood places all over the Cape." - jennifer mattson, carlo mantuano
