"The moment you cut into one of Ray’s rum raisin cakes, you get smacked in the face with the smell of rum. The cakes from this North Miami shop are moist, very sweet, and heavy on the rum (even the outside layer of buttercream frosting has rum-soaked raisins folded into the mix). The smallest rum cake is about $50, feeds 15, and is usually available for same-day pickup. You can also customize your own cake for special occasions, but those need to be ordered 48 hours in advance." - Mariana Trabanino
