"Down a quiet alley just off one of Zona Romántica’s busier streets is Jorge’s Hideaway Shrimp Shack, with twinkly lights, Christmas bulbs, and lots of plants. It’s cute, casual, and there’s a good chance you’ll hear a soft cover of “Stand By Me” playing on loop for the entire hour that you’re there. Everyone is ordering the coconut shrimp, but the breading is dense and the shrimp are a little small and dry for the hype they get. If you’re staying nearby and want a low-key spot with massive drinks and some kitschy charm, it’s a solid option. But in a city packed with excellent seafood, this isn’t one you need to build your evening around." - Nicolai McCrary
