"Hungry Bear is a Miami institution, even if it doesn’t quite make the best subs in Miami. They’re just the biggest and filled with the most meat, which is saying a lot because Miami’s subs tend to be massive. Hungry Bear has two locations: the original in Kendall and a second in Doral. We’re focusing on the original in Kendall. The small spot is never empty, and the tapping of spatulas chopping up beef for cheesesteaks on the flat top never stops. A lot of people take their subs to go, but they have a couple of picnic tables outside if you want to eat there. Food Rundown Honey Mustard Chicken Sub This is Hungry Bear’s most popular sub. We understand why. It’s packed with so much chicken, it’s hard to keep it closed. But these guys are so busy, they’re more focused on speed than flavor.
