Sweetgreen’s Newest Houston Location Opens in the Heights | Eater Houston

"Opening its fifth Houston-area location at the M-K-T development in The Heights, this fast-casual salad and grain-bowl spot serves warm bowls such as the chicken tostada (baby spinach, quinoa, blackened chicken, lime cilantro jalapeño vinaigrette), the vegetarian Shroomami (warm wild rice, beets, portobellos, miso sesame ginger dressing), and a garlic chili shrimp bowl with nuoc cham vinaigrette. Every dish is highly customizable—diners can build their own bowls from dozens of ingredients—and orders are handled via kiosks and an app introduced after the chain revamped its assembly-line system to reduce long lines. The concept, which first arrived in Houston in 2019 and was founded in D.C. in 2007, has a reputation for fresh, seasonal ingredients and a focus on sustainability and community service, and this location includes an expansive patio that seats about 50; it opens at 10:30 a.m. and will be open daily until 10 p.m." - Brittanie Shey
