"Even though Dallas doesn’t exactly need any more Tex-Mex restaurants, I’m noting that Lupe Tortilla will soon bring its fajitas and tacos to the metroplex, setting up at 4535 Belt Line Road in Addison. Founded in 1983 in Addicks, Texas (now part of Houston), the chain operates locations across the state, including Austin, San Antonio, and several in its home city, and the press release says the Addison spot will occupy an 8,377-square-foot space with a patio and an expansive dining room. The restaurant is known for its lime and pepper fajitas, which are served with corn tortillas made fresh for every order; the dinner menu also features enchiladas, riffs on carne asada, grilled meats, and seafood dishes, all of which can be paired with Lupe Tortilla’s margaritas. It was expected to arrive in Addison in early 2019 — stay tuned for an official opening date." - Amy McCarthy
